By consistently awarding and recognizing Taekwondo achievement in the United States in several categories, The United States Taekwondo Grandmasters Society Hall of Fame seeks to educate the general public as to the true nature of Taekwondo and raise general awareness of the contribution Taekwondo makes to individual practitioners and to the society in which they live. Hall of Fame award categories will include: Pioneer Award, Outstanding Leadership Award, Coach of the Year, Male Competitor of the Year, Female Competitor of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Ambassador Award and Literary Achievement Award. The Hall of Fame will also commemorate these founding members of the Grandmasters Society and their foresight and integrity in creating this place. World Taekwondo champions will be honored starting with 1973, and future space is reserved to honor and recognize all Olympic Taekwondo Competitors.
